Dental crowns are especially helpful in improving the look of cracked teeth.
The crown of your tooth is the portion of your tooth visible when you open your mouth. The crown may need to be fixed when cavities or hard objects have fractured and taken off a part of the tooth.
The procedure for a crown is easy. First, the dentist shaves off the affected area of the tooth. He or she applies a gel and a cap to the tooth to replace its natural enamel. Sometimes the cap can consist of some metal or all metal. |
